Dinner and a movie

The last time I went to the movies, it was to see The Minions. So when I received an invitation to go see Loving Vincent, I didn't hesitate. As an art major with a concentration in painting, the subject matter is fascinating to me. The images are so beautiful, and plot so well written, anyone will it enjoy it.

Warm enough to eat dinner on the patio. Prepared for the inside air conditioning.

My goal in dressing for the evening was twofold: I wanted to carry my new purse, and I needed to be warm enough in the movie theatre.

We practically had the place to ourselves.

Little did I know, my outfit would match the interior of the Terrace Theater.

And here is the purse I was so eager to carry. It is a treasured gift from my Gypsy Sister. Hand dyed and woven from the grasses of the Mekong River in Cambodia, this purse started life as a tatami mat. Then it was converted into the beautiful item you see.

Rockabillaque

Music, Muscle Cars. Beards & a Chance to Dress Up.

The 5th Annual Rockabillaque was a complete gas. Friends rolled into town from Dallas and we took off for Park Circle. There were beard contests, pinup contests, and lots of chrome. I just love how people got into the spirit of things and dressed up. People were amazingly friendly, chatting, letting me take their picture. The owner of the stunning BelAir even suggested I sit in his car while he took my picture. Giddy fun for me.
